Kon Boot: bypass your windows start up password.

Kon Boot is an application that will bypass Windows start up password (and some distros in Linux) without over writing the current password. You may have different reason why you accidentally lock your PC like; your kids played with your PC and locked it unknowingly, a friend played a prank on you, your brother just want to get even with you because you destroyed his toy, etc. No matter what your reason is, Kon Boot is a great application that can do the job for you.

Reasons why Kon Boot:
- It can bypass most of Windows OS and some Linux distros.
- It is very light.
- It is very easy to use.

You can download the ISO here. Sadly to say but Kon Boot is no longer free. It is a good application so let us give the developers some thanks by buying their products. It is a handy app anyway.

Here's how to use Kon Boot:

1. The first thing that you should do is to install Kon Boot to a CD or USB.
(There are many ways how to install Kon Boot to USB or CD however, I will just show you how to install it on USB using UNetbootin in windows here.) UNetbootin download site

2. Next is you should format your USB to FAT32.

3. Now select the 'Diskimage' radio button[1], click dropdown menu and select Floppy[2]. Then locate the floppy image of UNetbootin in your computer[3].

IMPORTANT:
In [3] make sure that the you choose have the ".img" file it is inside the ISO of Kon Boot. If you burnt the wrong file of course it will not work.

4. Now go to the computer that you want to bypass the log-in password.

If it is turned off, just put the USB first and turn on the PC. Then you should boot from the USB by pressing F12.(In some PC it is F2 or DEL button, it depends on the PC's manufacturer setup.)

If the PC is on, plug in the USB and restart the PC. Then boot the PC from USB by pressing F12.(In some PC it is F2 or DEL button, it depends on the PC's manufacturer setup.).

5. Once the boot was successful, you will be greeted by this screen.

Followed by this;

Just choose "1st Kon-Boot" then it will go back here again. Then choose "2nd try boot ... hd1".

6. After that, the windows will start normally. Choose the account that you want to enter. It will still ask you a password but ignore it and just press enter. That's it! Congratulations! You have just now hacked to an account that have password.
